I had a wonderful tour of Japan and now I am back in Atlanta.
So nice to be back to spend the beautiful spring time here.

Vibraphonist Christian Tamburr and are having a duo concert this Sunday, April 18th in Buckhead.
We have a duo album called ‘Traveling South’, and we will feature some songs from the album.
We will also feature a jazzed-up version of a Chopin piece to celebrate the 200th year of his birth.

- The film “Dear Willie” (directed by Elmer Bowman) which I scored music for, is finally completing its production.
One of the main characters In the film Is a Japanese lady, and I used some Japanese instruments in the music score.

- I will be going to Japan again this summer to perform at my hometown festival.
My hometown music festival is celebrating the 15th year, and was awarded from the city of Yuki for the cultural contribution. : )

- I worked as an arranger and an assistant musical director for a jazz vocalist, Maya Hatch from NYC. Her album “My Foolish Heart” (http://www.spiceoflife.co.jp/sv_cd12.html) was released in Japan (Spice of Life label) last November. Maya and my trio completed two tours in Japan.

This is the first fund raising concert for M.I.F.Y. (Music Integrity for Youth) which is a non-profit organization for music education for the youth. M.I.F.Y. was put together by my dear friend Shannon Johnson. She loves music and she is passionate about music education for children. They strive to provide free or inexpensive music lessons for children. I am happy to be an honorary board member for M.I.F.Y.
